HELP & SUPPORT

Use your private MAP with confidence.

Practical guidance for creating, reading, protecting, and managing your saved MAPs.

01

Create a private MAP

Add a card name, choose a color, enter a memorable word, and enter the PIN once. MAPWOD creates a letter-number MAP from that setup.

02

Read it with your word

Open a saved card, remember your word, and find its letters in order. The digits beside those letters are the PIN entered during setup.

03

Keep the word private

Do not write the word beside the card, choose a word printed on the card, or share the word with other people.

04

Protect access to the app

Treat saved MAPs as private information. Use your device passcode, biometric lock, and current operating-system protections.

Contact support
Does MAPWOD store my PIN?

No. Your PIN is used during setup to generate the MAP. The app saves the generated MAP and card details, not the original PIN.

Does MAPWOD store my word?

No. Your word is not saved. You must remember it because MAPWOD cannot recover it later.

What happens if I forget my word?

MAPWOD cannot recover a forgotten word. Delete the affected card in the app and create a new one with a word you will remember.

Can someone read my PIN if they see the MAP?

The MAP alone does not identify which letters matter. Anyone who knows or guesses your word and can see the MAP may be able to read the PIN, so keep the word private.

Where is my app data stored?

Saved cards and preferences are stored in app storage on your device. MAPWOD does not provide a transfer or recovery feature for saved cards.

Is MAPWOD a password manager or banking app?

No. MAPWOD is a personal memory aid. It does not connect to banks, store payment-card details, authenticate payments, or guarantee code recovery.

How do I delete a card?

On the Cards screen, use the menu on the saved card and choose Delete. To remove every saved card, open Settings and use Reset All.

Can I use the same word for every card?

Different memorable words are safer. Reusing one word makes multiple MAPs easier to understand if someone learns that word.

How do I contact support?

Use the website contact form. Include your device and app version when useful, but never send PINs, private words, card details, bank logins, or screenshots of a private MAP.
