Agreement to these terms
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the MAPWOD mobile application and website. By using MAPWOD, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app or website.
Purpose of MAPWOD
MAPWOD is a personal memory aid that helps you create a letter-number MAP from a private word and PIN entered during setup. It is not a bank, financial institution, payment service, password manager, authentication service, or guaranteed recovery tool.
The website provides information about MAPWOD, demo download destinations, help content, legal information, and a support-request form. Demo download links do not represent a currently available store listing.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for choosing a word you can remember, entering information correctly, protecting your device, and deciding whether MAPWOD is suitable for your personal use.
Do not rely on MAPWOD where forgetting a code could cause financial loss, legal consequences, loss of essential access, personal safety risk, or other serious harm.
No PIN or word recovery
MAPWOD does not save the original PIN or private word in the saved card record. Because those values are not stored, MAPWOD cannot recover them. If you forget your word, you may need to delete the affected card and create a new MAP.
Device protection
You are responsible for protecting access to your device and the MAPWOD app. Anyone with access to an unlocked device may be able to view saved MAPs.
Stored app and support data
The app stores saved card names, colors, generated MAPs, dates, onboarding status, account-plan state, and preferences so it can display saved cards and settings.
The website support form stores the submitted name, email address, subject, and message in Firebase for review by authorized MAPWOD administrators. Support requests remain stored until manually deleted. Do not submit PINs, private words, card details, bank logins, or other financial information.
Acceptable use
You may use MAPWOD only for lawful personal purposes. You may not misuse the app or website, interfere with their operation, attempt unauthorized access, submit abusive or unlawful content, automate support-form submissions, or use MAPWOD to manage information you are not authorized to use.
Accuracy and availability
MAPWOD is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. The app and website may not work on every device, browser, or operating-system version and may change over time. To the maximum extent allowed by law, MAPWOD makes no warranties that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, MAPWOD and its publisher are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of access, financial loss, forgotten words, incorrect entries, device loss, device compromise, or reliance on a generated MAP.
Changes
These terms may be updated as MAPWOD changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms. Material changes may be communicated through the app, website, app-store listing, or another reasonable method.
